Gulf Oil Lubricants India has launched its hybrid and electric passenger vehicles e-fluids in India. In the international markets, including Europe, the Middle East, and China, these products were previously available earlier this year but the company is launching them on the Indian market now. Read more about e-fluids launched by Gulf Oil.
E-fluids for hybrid and electric cars are being developed for the domestic market by Gulf Oil Lubricants India Ltd (GOLIL). The products of the company enhance the battery life, improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions of carbon. For a variety of applications, such as wet/dry transmission, rear axle single or multispeed transmission, and transaxles of electric cars, the Gulf eLEC Driveline Fluid is recommended.
“Choices in the automotive sector have shifted during the last few years due to constant developments, technological disruptions, and policy reforms,” said Gulf Oil Lubricants India MD and CEO Ravi Chawla. ” As a result, the EV market is clearly developing and is expected to expand rapidly in the near future. Gulf Oil has always been a leading player in outstanding technology and constantly evolving technologies, manufacturing world-class products to meet expanding and changing customer expectations. We in the Gulf focus on creating accessible solutions to establish a sustainable mobility future. With our wide range of product options, we hope to begin working with OEMs in a variety of markets soon.”
David Hall, Vice President of Research and Technology, Gulf Oil International said, “Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) require lubricant type fluids, in fact, they require very special fluids and that’s what we have developed at Gulf. The EV transmission works at higher speeds and temperatures than the conventional car transmission. These transmissions contain embedded electrical and electronic components such as E-motors and power electronics which need to be cooled and protected.”
“It contains sealing and coating materials that need to be maintained. The fluids have cooling characteristics and high electrical resistance to prevent failure. E-fluids are a fine balancing act of chemistry and physics. In India, which is a big market for OEMs and electric vehicles, Gulf is happy to introduce this product technology.”
